PireosPay for WooCommerce Documentation

Version 1.0.0 Last updated 27/08/2026
View product: PireosPay – Piraeus Bank epay Gateway for WooCommerce

License activation

Open WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PireosPay, enter the license key, and select Activate License. Payment processing, bank callbacks, and transaction monitoring remain unavailable until the key is registered to this domain. The license itself does not expire; after support ends, the installed version continues to work but authenticated updates are unavailable.

Before installation

Request epay Paycenter Redirection credentials from Euronet Merchant Services. Confirm which currencies, installments, IRIS, and preauthorization functions are enabled for the merchant account. The shop must use HTTPS.

Configuration

Open WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PireosPay.

  1. Enable the gateway and set the title and description shown at checkout. You may hide the payment image or choose your own image from the WordPress Media Library. Leaving it empty uses the bundled credit-card image.
  2. Enter the default currency and the Acquirer ID, Merchant ID, POS ID, username, and password supplied for that currency.
  3. For another currency, click Add currency account and complete the separate credential fields supplied for that currency.
  4. Choose Immediate purchase unless Euronet has explicitly approved preauthorization for the account.
  5. Enable installments only if they are active in the merchant agreement. Click Add installment rule, enter the minimum and maximum order amount, and choose the maximum installment count. Choose standard order timing to register the order before redirection, or deferred timing to keep an internal checkout draft until a verified successful callback is received.
  6. Copy the displayed HTTPS callback URL to both the Success URL and Failure URL in the Euronet configuration.
  7. Copy the displayed Backlink URL to the Euronet Backlink configuration.
  8. Save the settings.

IRIS is controlled by the merchant agreement and is not available when installments or preauthorization are used.

Test checklist

Use transactions approved for testing by Euronet.

  1. Complete an approved immediate purchase. Confirm the order is paid and contains a transaction ID and Support Reference ID.
  2. Complete a declined transaction. Confirm the order is not paid and the customer sees a safe retry message.
  3. Cancel from the epay payment page. Confirm the customer returns to the order payment page with a cancellation message.
  4. Attempt to reload the old payment page after success. Confirm no second payment ticket is offered for the paid order.
  5. Test every configured currency with the credentials issued for that currency.
  6. Test every installment boundary and confirm the bank account supports the selected count.
  7. If preauthorization is enabled, confirm the order becomes On hold and complete capture through the process authorized by Euronet.
  8. Test Classic Checkout and Checkout Blocks.
  9. Verify that bank callbacks can reach the shop without authentication, firewall, maintenance-mode, or cache interference.

Unresolved callback monitoring

The plugin runs an hourly WP-Cron check. A token-protected URL is also displayed for a real server CRON. The monitor reports transactions where a ticket was issued but no callback reached WooCommerce.

This warning does not prove that payment succeeded or failed. Check the epay administration environment before changing the order or contacting the customer.

Troubleshooting

Enable debug logging temporarily and inspect WooCommerce > Status > Logs, source woo-zo-pireospay. Logs do not contain merchant passwords or transaction tickets.

When contacting Euronet, provide the Support Reference ID shown in the WooCommerce order. Do not send merchant credentials by email or include them in screenshots.
